Dear all,
Following up to my previous email, I would like to share the final version of the
joint press release about the MoU with 5G-ACIA.
In comparison to the version I shared earlier there are only minor changes, so I assume that it is fine from our side.
The final approval request within the 5G-ACIA membership will be submitted on Monday.
The goal is to publish the press release on July 14th.
For what concern the joint 5G-ACIA & one6G Web Seminar on 6G Use Cases for
Industrial Automation, taking place on July 15, 2026, from 15:30 to 17:20 CEST, Klaudia shared yesterday the announcement in the all-members mailing list.
Many thanks to Albena and Klaudia for the excellent work.
Best regards,
Riccardo
Dear all,
I would like to provide an update about the collaboration with 5G-ACIA under the signed MoU.
Please consider that I will not in condition to join the board call on 24th June due to conflict with a call for the 3GPP SA2 meeting that starts next week.
- Web seminar jointly organized with 5G-ACIA
The proposals discussed earlier in the one6G board about the format of the web seminar have been accepted, as well as the proposed schedule for organizing the web seminar in July. As discussed, the topic is ā6G use cases for industrial
automationā.
Based on availability of the speakers and the 5G-ACIA platform, the web seminar is planned on
July 15 at 15:30 CEST.
The webinar will be held via Microsoft Teams provided by the 5G-ACIA office.
Tentative agenda: Intro (5 min, moderator), 4 presentations (20 min for each speaker), Q&A (20 min).
From one6G, the two speakers are experts that collaborated to the white paper on robotics recently published by one6G:
- Javan Erfanian (Veezhen, WG2 chair at one6G)
- Al Costa (Tekntrash, CEO, one6G member)
From 5G-ACIA, there is one confirmed speaker so far:
- Michael Bahr (Siemens, WG1 chair at 5G-ACIA)
The 5G-ACIA office is currently looking for a second speaker; I suggested that Ericsson could propose a speaker related to the EU project VICTOR6G (radio aspects of industrial 6G).
The moderator will be likely Julia Bachmann from the 5G-ACIA office.
As soon as we clarify the 4th speaker, we can start launching the communication activities via social media, the website, and the webinar invitation mailing. The 5G-ACIA office will coordinate with Albena.
- Joint press release on MoU signature and joint web seminar
The 5G-ACIA office provided a revision of the joint press release (we have not yet published a joint press release about the signed MoU).
Please find here attached a revision based on the text discussed earlier. This revision includes many changes, including also mentioning the upcoming web seminar.
5G-ACIA office requested to review the draft and provide comments by
Wednesday, June 24th.
The plan is to publish the joint press release on 14 or 15 July.
Best regards,
Riccardo
